Tiny Cold Atmospheric Plasma Jet for Biomedical Applications

Conventional plasma jets for biomedical applications tend to have several drawbacks, such as high voltages, gas delivery, large probe volume, and the formation of discharge within organ. Therefore, it is challenging employ these inside a living organism’s body. Thus, we developed single-electrode tiny jet evaluated its use clinical applications. We investigated effect voltage input flow rate on length studied physical parameters jet, including voltage, average subject temperature, optical emissions via spectroscopy (OES). The interactions between five subjects (de-ionized (DI) water, metal, cardboard, pork belly, muscle) were at distances 10 mm 15 from nozzle. results showed that caused no damage or burning tissues, ROS/RNS (reactive oxygen/nitrogen species) intensity increased when distance was lowered mm.
